Fort Wayne hand Toledo Villa their second loss of the season

Fort Wayne gave Toledo their second loss of the season on Saturday.  Goals from Michael Adedokun, Forster Agajo, and Riley Lynch gave Fort Wayne the lift to victory.

Fort Wayne grabbed the early initiative.  A 6th minute corner found it's way to Fort Wayne striker Forster Agajo. He was able to hold the ball, turn and fire a sharp shot at the goal.  Goalkeeper Brendan Graves had to have quick reactions and be at full stretch to stop the shot.

Fort Wayne did make the breakthrough in the 18th minute. Forster Agajo intercepted a backward pass in the Toledo Villa defensive third.  He turned and laid the ball off to Fort Wayne's attacking midfielder Michael Adedokun.  Adedokun dribbled forward and placed a low shot past Graves.

Fort Wayne were able to double the lead in the 30th minute.  They were able to string a number of passes between midfielders Maxwell Amoaka and Jose Casas.  Casas was able to slip Forster Agajo into space.  He got the ball out from under his feet and struck a shot past Brendan Graves.

The second half started with Toledo trying to pull one back.  After a good bit of attacking pressure, Mike Moser was able to slip in Zach Hassell.  He tried to bend a shot into the far post, but it didn't have enough bend to hit the target.

A few minutes later, Fort Wayne got their third.  In the 50th minute, Fort Wayne pounced on a loose pass and played a one-two with Casas Adedokun.  Casas looked up and played a through pass to Riley Lynch.  He rolled the ball past Graves to make it 3-0.

Toledo finally pulled one back in the 60th minute.  Josh Hughes won a free kick just outside the penalty area.  He stepped up to take it himself, and bent a ball into the bottom corner.

Being the third game in six days for Toledo made the final minutes a bit of a slog.  Fort Wayne were comfortable sitting back on their two goal lead, but Toledo were left without the energy to create any additional big chances.

Toledo will need to put the losses behind them as they welcome Kings Hammer FC to Paul Hotmer Field on Saturday June 4th.
